A Breath of Time
Life is Addition
Picture This:
a frozen lake, mary lake
soft with snow,
island at the foreground
beautiful horizon far behind.
a gust of wind.
trees rustle, snow dances
like a figure skater, spinning on ice.
STOP.
it's important. it's a Breath of Time.
Then Picture:
a red leaf, with yellow
veins sprawling,
crisp with dewdrops
grass as the backdrop.
the click of a shutter.
mouths gape, applause rings
like an encore, covered with praise
STOP.
it's important. it's a Breath of Time.
Life is addition,
Every moment a number.
Add all the time up,
and you have an answer,
A life, and every.breath.counts.

wow Ben these poems are really good! I love knowing there's someone else who sees the breathtaking beauty in the everyday. Did you write these recently?
